Marine & Shipboard Cables
Marine & Shipboard cables have different characteristics depending on their applications such as crude oil, LNG, and automobiles. Since they are mainly used for transportation, however, there are high requirements for weight reduction. In addition, because shipments of hazardous commodities are carried out in a confined space on vessels while they are afloat at sea, they are required to have flame retardancy, non-toxicity, low smoke, and other characteristics. In particular, ship cables installed in destroyers and submarines are required to have additional characteristics such as flame retardancy, non-toxicity, and low smoke as well as waterproof and lightweight characteristics.
